Why 6th September:
6th September, a day which is celebrated very year as a defense day of Pakistan. We proudly celebrate it as defense day of our motherland. It is celebrated in the memory of our brave martyred people of Pakistan Army who gave surrender of their lives for the defense of our country. It was the 6th September 1965, when India attacked Pakistani borders without any warning or a declaration of war. This was totally against the international laws and the norms of humanized behavior among states. India condescendingly swept aside her international obligations in her desire to vanquish the territory.
But the world know, just how the daring, courageous, brave Pakistani soldiers had defended the motherland and crushed the planned , organized and secret belligerence of enemy. This was the day when Pakistanis battled for their defense. That’s why it is eminent as a defense day of Pakistan.
Finally, the war ended up with the UN intervention. Financially the war had damage both the country but none of them really dominate. But the Pakistan saved. It was a very difficult time when all the nation unite on a single forum and gave sacrifice for the survival of the motherland.
Importance of Defense Day:
Dear Pakistani’s, Neither Pakistan was not had as a charity nor was it come into being in a single day. It was based on Islamic Ideology. Its foundation lies on The Two-Nation theory that was presented by Sir Syed Ahmed Khan was the base on the Islamic ideology and the efforts of Molvi Fazl e Haq, in the dream of Allama Muhammad Iqbal and with the great leadership Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. So, it’s our national obligation to save the country from every evil eye.
Celebrations in Pakistan:
The day of 6th September starts with special prayers for the peace and prosperity of Pakistan. President and Prime Minister and many ministers of Islamic Republic of Pakistan address on 6th September from special functions of Defense Day. Different talk shows and discussions on media are organize in order to pay tribute to the heroes of the nation. Different National Songs (Milli-Nagmas) are sung on this day to enhance the patriotism and the essence of sacrifices in Pakistani people. All these events are organized to realize the feelings that how our brave Pakistani’s soldiers had the true love for the country, how they gave sacrifices for the homeland.
Martyrs of Pakistan:
Army officers like Captain Sarwar Shaheed, Major Tufail Shaheed, Major Raja Aziz Bhatti Shaheed, Major Shabbir Sharif Shaheed, Major Muhammad Akram Shaheed, Sawar Muhammad Hussain, Lance Naik Mehfooz Shaheed, Shaheed Pilot Officer Rashid Minhas Shaheed, Captain Karnal Sher Shaheed and Havildar Lalak Jan Shaheed gave sacrifices of their life and were granted with “Nishan-e-Hairder” on 6th September, 1965.
Nishan-e-Haider literally means the mark of loin. It is the special highest military gentility awards which is given to brave martyred people in Pakistan who leave remarkable examples of bravery and sacrifices for nation.
On this special day Army of Pakistan displays the latest missiles, tanks, guns, army aviation helicopters and armament being used by Engineers, Electrical and Mechanical Corps, Army Air Defense, Signals, Army Service Corps and Army Medical Corps live on various places. Everyone is allowed to watch such functions live by going to the particular places. These shows are displayed on national channels as well. National songs and special documents about 6th September, 1965 and martyred people of 6th September are displayed on TV.
In the patriotic environment everyone decides in his mind he will do such works which will be substantial for the country and pray for the independence of the country.
